FirstCheck is the first multi-gas monitor to combine complete volatile organic compound (VOC) and toxic gas detection from 1 ppb up to 10,000 ppm (5000 model) with traditional multi-gas sensors for oxygen (O₂), hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), carbon monoxide (CO) and explosive gas (LEL) detection - providing a must-have instrument for first responders and confined space entrants. Due to its fence electrode technology, the instrument's unique, highly sensitive photoionization detector (PID) enables the detection of many gases that are toxic at low ppb levels and are undetectable by other multi-gas instruments. Traditionally, two to three instruments are needed to ensure workers safety; now FirstCheck has it all covered in one handheld detector. This unit is equipped with a rechargeable battery pack, has an alkaline battery option and is shipped in an Explorer Pelican case.
